Dissemination: My story featured on The Women We Know
One woman’s journey of healing
and reconnecting with the city where she nearly lost herself
100 YVR is one of the most personal projects I have ever created. It marked an important turning point in both my artistic practice and my relationship to healing, identity, and selfhood.
For me, art has never simply been about aesthetics or output. It has been a way of processing experience, rebuilding trust in myself, and finding moments of light during some of the darkest periods of my life. While healing is not linear, this project became part of learning how to move forward with greater presence, care, and compassion toward myself.
Why share this project?
While revisiting this portfolio, I debated whether or not to continue including this work because of how vulnerable and intimate it is.
For many years, I felt deeply shaped by difficult experiences and the ways they lingered within the body, relationships, and everyday life. Over time, however, I began to understand that healing was not about erasing the past, but about learning how to live alongside it without shame.
In the end, I chose to keep this project here because it represents important parts of my history, resilience, creative and personal evolution. This work reminds me that resilience, vulnerability, and transformation can coexist—and that art has the capacity to hold space for all three.
